Low Water Earrings

hese earrings began as treasures revealed by the changing water.

I personally found each of these freshwater shells in a lake during the dry season, when the water level drops and parts of the lakebed become exposed. After the birds have eaten the mollusks, the empty shells are left behind—revealing the most beautiful, naturally iridescent interiors.

I collected the shells and transformed them into one-of-a-kind earrings, pairing each with either a genuine freshwater pearl or a colorful mermaid glass bead. The result is a piece that carries a little story of the lake, the season, and the natural cycle that uncovered it.

No two shells are exactly alike, so each pair will have its own natural variations in shape, color, texture, and iridescence.
