About Me

Meet the Artist

Some people tell stories with words.

I’ve always told mine by making things.

I’m a Christian artist, a stay-at-home mom, and a South Florida native whose life has been shaped by the ocean, faith, and the quiet belief that beauty can point us toward something greater than ourselves ( GOD).

My hands are rarely still.

One day they’re wrapping shark teeth and shells into one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. The next they’re covered in paint, bringing a canvas to life, or arranging thousands of shells into large-scale installations that preserve moments the tide could have easily carried away.

No matter the medium, I’m always creating for the same reason: to help people notice the beauty that already exists around them.

Mood & Mercy has always had two expressions, but they’ve never come from two different places.

One is rooted in faith.

I create jewelry for baptisms, First Communions, Confirmations, weddings, and the ordinary days in between—the days when we simply need a reminder that God is near. My hope is that Christians and Catholics can shop these collections knowing they’re supporting a Christian artist whose work is guided by faith. A portion of every faith-based jewelry purchase is donated to faith-based organizations, allowing each piece to become part of a mission far beyond itself.

The other expression is born from the shoreline.

Living in South Florida has taught me that the ocean has a way of giving back what most people overlook. A shell polished by decades of waves. A shark tooth hidden beneath the sand. A piece of sea glass softened by time.

These are the things I build with.

Not because they’re perfect, but because they’ve already lived a story before finding their way into my hands.

Maybe that’s why I love creating one-of-a-kind work.

No two pieces are ever the same, because neither are the people who wear them.

One of my favorite traditions has nothing to do with selling art at all.

Every  week, I leave what I’ve come to call Mermaid Bags at beaches across South Florida. They’re little bags filled with jewelry made with  shells, shark teeth, sea glass, and tiny treasures from the ocean for complete strangers to discover.

They’re completely free.

No purchase required. No catch.

Just a small reminder that kindness can be found when you aren’t looking for it, and that sometimes the best treasures are the ones you never expected to find. God bless!

Whether you’ve found me because of a shark tooth necklace, a painting, a shell installation, or a piece of faith-based jewelry, I’m grateful you’re here.

Thank you for supporting a small business, a handmade life, and an artist who believes that beauty, faith, and creation have always belonged together.

We currently donate to the Catholic Diocese for the Palm Beaches.

As part of the universal mission of the Catholic Church, Catholic Relief Services works with local, national and international Catholic institutions and structures, as well as other organizations, to assist people on the basis of need, not creed, race or nationality.

Although this mission is rooted in the Catholic faith, its operations serve people based solely on need, regardless of their race, religion, or ethnicity. Within the United States, CRS engages Catholics to live their faith in solidarity with the poor and suffering of the world and in uprooting the unjust structures that perpetuate poverty, conflict and inequality.

Thank you for choosing Mood & Mercy. It is an honor to be a part of your journey — and your jewelry collection.
