Mermaid’s Offering

Every once in a while, the ocean leaves behind something that feels too perfect to be an accident.

On one of my morning walks along the Florida coast, I spotted the center pendant half-buried in the sand. Locals have a name for shells like this—we call them “mermaid money.” They’re the worn center of a sand dollar, polished smooth by years of waves and currents until they look like tiny coins from another world.

I tucked it into my pocket and carried it home, already imagining what it wanted to become.

Back at my workbench, I built this necklace around that single beach find. Soft iridescent freshwater pearls, delicate floral details, cascading gold chains, and hand-wrapped accents all came together to honor the quiet magic of the piece the ocean had already created.

No molds.
No duplicates.
No way to recreate the journey that brought this pendant to shore.

This necklace exists because of one morning, one tide, and one treasure waiting to be found.

A true one-of-one, handcrafted from a moment on the Florida coast and finished by hand in my studio.
